Friday, August 31, 2012

A CareerBuilder.ca survey has found that 45 per cent of Canadian workers have felt bullied at work, according to this press release. One-third of these workers suffered health-related problems as a result of bullying while on-quarter decided to quit their jobs to escape the situation, found the survey of 552 workers. Nearly one-half of those workers didn't confront their bullies and the majority of incidents went unreported. Other stats: half felt judged by different standards or policies; 47 per cent, falsely accused of mistakes; 36 per cent, constantly criticized; 30 per cent experienced belittling comments during meetings; and 24 per cent were yelled at by a boss in front of co-workers.
